THEOLOGICAL STATEMENT OF FAITH

SCRIPTURES

WE BELIEVE the Holy Bible was written by inspiration of God.  It is the eternal, perfect, and infallible Word of God given to men so that they may accurately and sufficiently teach, rebuke, correct, and instruct in righteousness.  The holy Scriptures provide an absolute and high standard by which humanity may live and govern over themselves and the entirety of creation.
II Timothy 3:15-16; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Jeremiah 15:16; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; Luke 21:33; I Peter 1:25; Psalm 19:7-10

GOD

WE BELIEVE there is but one God, living, true, infinite, and sovereign over all creation and is revealed to us in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The distinct persons of the Godhead, distinct in roles and with distinct personal attributes, are equal in divine perfection and exist in but one nature,
essence, and being.
Genesis 1:1; Exodus 15:11, 13; Hebrews 4:13; I Corinthians 8:6; Romans 8:26-27

HOLY SPIRIT

WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit indwells, convicts, guides, enables and empowers the believer to serve, worship, evangelize, and pursue God.
Isaiah 61:1-3; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:26-27; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 2:10-14; 12:4-6;
Ephesians 1:13; 4:30

JESUS CHRIST

WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is the one and only begotten and incarnate Son of God, the image of the invisible God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect and sinless life, died an atoning death on the cross taking upon Himself the sins of the world, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into Heaven and now resides at the right hand of the Father interceding on the behalf of all believers.
John 3:16; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:5; Philippians 2:6-11; Colossians 1:14-15;
 I John 5:12; Revelation 5:9

MAN

WE BELIEVE that man, created in the image of God and made in holiness, because of his transgression fell into sin making him opposed to God, under condemnation, and in need of redemption.
Genesis 3:15; Psalm 14:3; Romans 3:23; 5:12-14; 5:16; 5:18-19; 6:23; 5:18-19;
Colossians 3:25; Ephesians 2:1

SALVATION

WE BELIEVE that salvation is offered to all men through the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and is a call to personal relationship with Jesus Christ made possible by the forgiving of one’s sins by the blood of Christ.  We hold that a Christian, or a follower of Christ, is one who has come into salvation and Lordship of Jesus Christ by grace through faith alone.
